From Hypnotherapist to Awareness Mentor (and Why It’s Really the Same Thing)
I’ve been calling myself a hypnotherapist for years, and that’s technically accurate—I use hypnosis techniques in my work. But the more I do this, the more I realize that what I’m actually doing is awareness mentoring.
Here’s the thing: when people hear “hypnotherapist,” they often think about stage hypnosis or someone putting them in a trance to “fix” them. But that’s not really what happens. What hypnosis actually does is help you access that deeper part of yourself—your subconscious, your higher mind, whatever you want to call it. It creates a state where you become more aware of what’s really going on inside you. So in a way, hypnotherapy has always been about awareness. I’m just calling it what it actually is now.
What I Do as an Awareness Mentor
So basically, I help people wake up to what’s already inside them—and I mean really inside them. We all have this higher mind, this inner wisdom that knows way more than our everyday thinking mind does. But most of us are so caught up in our worries, habits, and the noise in our heads that we can’t hear it.
A lot of people come to me feeling stuck. Maybe they’re procrastinating on something important, or they keep ending up in the same relationship dynamics, or they just feel like something’s off but can’t put their finger on it. Through guided conversations, some deep questioning, and hypnosis when it fits, we dig into what’s actually going on underneath all that.
Here’s the thing: once you become more aware of the patterns you’re running on autopilot—the limiting beliefs, the emotional reactions you don’t even realize you’re having—you naturally start opening up to that higher mind. And when you do, everything gets easier. Decisions become clearer. You stop fighting yourself. You tap into a strength and wisdom that was always there, just waiting for you to notice it.
But let me be clear: I’m not the healer here. You are.
You’re responsible for your own healing process. My role is just to guide you toward that awareness. One of the most powerful shifts I see people make is learning to accept what is—not in a resigned way, but in a way that brings real peace. When you stop resisting reality and connect to that stillness within yourself, something shifts. You start acting from a completely different place.
There’s a huge difference between acting from that inner stillness versus acting from your ego. Ego-driven actions? They’re almost always rooted in fear—fear of not being enough, fear of losing something, fear of what others think. But when you act from that place of inner peace and connection to your higher mind, there’s a power to it that’s just… different. It’s authentic. It flows. And it actually works.
That’s what I help people find—that stillness, that connection, and the ability to move through life from that place instead of constantly reacting from fear.
